Ms. Freeland is described as a champion of democracy, shown in her journalism, writing, and her political accomplishments.

She is a globally recognized activist for clean water for First Nations and has spoken before the United Nations to raise awareness of water rights and community access to clean drinking water.

She is an advocate for youth involvement in democracy, leads Apathy is Boring, and participates in a number of other not for profit organizations related to community engagement.
Annamaria Enenajor Lawyer, Advocate for Cannabis Decriminalization
She is an advocate for cannabis decriminalization and founded Campaign for Cannabis Amnesty working to obtain blanket pardons for cannabis possession charges.
Shari Graydon Speaker, Author, Advocate for Women
She has worked to improve the way women are represented in the media in Canada and is now teaching others to do the same.
Amanda Jette Knox Author, Speaker, Human Rights Advocate
She is a mental health advocate and a champion of LGBTQ+ rights and education. Her book love lives here tells the story of her transgender family.

She is doctor who has worked in conflict zones around the world, and is the founder of War Child Canada and War Child US. These organizations provide assistance to children affected by armed conflict.
Buffy Sainte-Marie Singer, Songwriter, Educator
She is a singer/songwriter, who since the mid-60’s, has used her platform to speak out in protest against war, greed, and oppression.
